Combi boilers are used by over 70% of the households in the UK and offer a water heater and central heating in one unit. A heat-only (regular) boiler works the heating system and heats hot water via a separate cylinder using external pumps and valves. They usually have two tanks, a smaller one which feeds the heating system and a larger one that provides the hot water cylinder. A system boiler is similar to a heat-only boiler. The difference is the system is pressurised rather than gravity-fed, like the heat-only.
